Our professionals understand that every client’s situation is unique. Melissa Rosen, LCSW
Melissa earned her Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University where she received the Rev. John McCarthy Award for outstanding performance in course and fieldwork. She has experience as a clinical social worker in various settings including in-home care, assisted living facilities, and private psychotherapy practice. Melissa has worked with diverse populations and ages ranging from young children to the elderly. She utilizes an eclectic mix of psychotherapeutic techniques including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and EMDR. Melissa believes in partnering with individuals to assist them in realizing their potential and unlocking blocks to growth and change. She integrates the concept of self-compassion into her work – helping others to learn to treat themselves with loving-kindness. She has certification in Jungian Psychology and Group Work. She practices Insight Meditation.
Clemencia Cartas, LPC
Clemencia graduated as a Psychologist from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana of Bogota- Colombia in 1982. She earned her Masters in Clinical Psychology-Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Clemencia has extensive training and experience as a Gottman Method Couples Therapist. Her areas of expertise include but are not limited to couples conflict resolution, communication, and infidelity recovery.
Besides being in private practice for several years, Clemencia’s concurrent experience includes working for Youth Consultation Service assisting children and families as a family therapist and clinician for children in foster care. Clemencia is a highly engaging, compassionate, culturally competent therapist. Her clinical approach is the unconditional positive regard for her client. That Client-Centered approach ensures clients’ high rates of healing and recovery. Clemencia speaks and conducts treatment in English and Spanish.
Angela Macri, LCSW
Sherri Press, LCSW
Sherri Press is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified School Counselor. She earned a BA in Social Work from Syracuse University, an MA in Counselor Education and an MSW with a clinical focus, both from NYU. Sherri has worked as a therapist in mental health settings with adults and adolescents and NJ public schools, counseling middle and high school students with special needs. She also has experience working with parents of children/adolescents with ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome and PDD.
Sherri was trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, an approach that focuses on self-exploration, self-awareness, insight and a strong therapeutic alliance. She believes that it is necessary to examine our past if we are to understand and change our present. Sherri also integrates Cognitive Behavioral techniques and Supportive Therapy into her practice.
Kathleen Murray, LCSW
Daisy Pujals, LCSW
In the process of earning my education and experience leading to the license in clinical social work, I have been part of interdisciplinary service in outpatient mental health settings, skilled nursing, and hospital psychiatric facilities. My education includes a Master’s in social gerontology and social work. I rely on evidence-based psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy modalities to assist individuals, families, and groups to attain identified goals.
Paul Fine, LCSW
Paul Fine, LCSW has worked as a psychotherapist for over 25 years in the capacity of EAP counselor, Community Mental Health psycho-therapist, social rehabilitation therapist, medical social worker, and youth crisis worker. Mr. Fine’s orientation is a mix of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, mindfulness, and family systems. His cases have included individuals, families, and groups in a wide variety of backgrounds and situations. His current specialty is in parenting and he has co-authored two books on the subject of parental alienation: Co-Parenting with a Toxic Ex, and Surviving Parental Alienation.
Robin Cohn, LCSW
Robin Cohn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her BA from City University of NY and Masters from Hunter College School of Social Work. She has worked extensively in community mental health, hospitals, and private practice settings with adults and teenagers in New York and New Jersey.
Robin utilizes Interpersonal (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address anxiety, depression, trauma, issues of illness and aging, relationship difficulties, and other life stressors. Robin also focuses on developing a caring and supportive therapeutic relationship that includes mindfulness, emphasis on self-care, and fostering self-esteem.
